Turkey's veteran photographer İzzet Keribar's new book titled "Colorful Turkey" will be introduced at the event to be held at Galeri Işık, owned by Feyziye Mektepleri Foundation, on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 18.00.
The launch of the book, published with the contributions of Mehmet Kurukahveci Cultural Center, will be accompanied by an exhibition featuring İzzet Keribar's photographs on the same day.
The new book of İzzet Keribar, one of Turkey's leading photographers, "Colorful Türkiye", presents a selection of photographs taken by the artist in the last 20 years. In addition to photographs taken in different seasons in various regions of the country, the selection includes shots where archaeological and architectural values stand out, city views and local people come together. Izzet Keribar, who has won many awards in both national and international photography competitions and has been practicing photography as a professional profession for the last 20 years, has held many personal photography exhibitions and slide shows at home and abroad. The artist, who has published many books to date, was awarded the title of A.FIAP (Artist) by the International Federation of Photography in 1985 and E.FIAP (Excellence) in 1988. He was awarded the Grand Art Award of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2012 and the Presidential Grand Culture and Art Award in 2018. İzzet Keribar's works, both on slides and in digital media, shot in many countries around the world, constitute one of the most important archives of our country's visual memory.
