The Global Climate Change Photography Contest, organized for the 6th time this year by Alarko Carrier to draw attention to the effects of global warming and climate change, has concluded. The competition revealed the destruction and environmental effects of climate change with striking frames.
From the thousands of photos collected in the competition held on Instagram and Twitter, the 50 frames that reached the highest number of likes as a result of the public vote were evaluated by the selection committee. 13 photographs were selected with the scores of the jury consisting of Alarko Carrier Chairman of the Board Niv Garih, Alarko Contracting Group Chief Executive Officer Alper Kaptanoğlu, Alarko Carrier Air Conditioning R&D Project Manager Harun Özkara and Ahmet Erdem, one of the prominent names of Instagram with his photographs.
Stating that they organized this competition to raise awareness about climate change, Alarko Carrier Advertising and Public Relations Manager Hüdai Öztürk said, "The photographs submitted to the competition we have been organizing for 6 years clearly document the negative effects of climate change. The Mediterranean Basin, which includes our country, is among the regions that will be most affected by global climate change. The climate crisis is the most important problem of our day. The interest in the competition we organize to raise public awareness about climate change and draw attention to the issue continues to increase every year." he said.
